One Year Plan Update Underway

The One Year Plan is a tool that helps city officials make decisions about zoning and land use.

Every parcel of land in the City of Knoxville has a One Year Plan land-use classification that lists acceptable zones and this list is reviewed annually.

A Zoom meeting has been scheduled for January 28, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. as part of the update process. At this meeting, Planning staff will review permitted land uses and zoning districts, and plan amendments since the 2020 update. Staff will then present proposed plan changes and open the floor to participants for input.

This meeting is a great way for city residents to learn more about the plan amendment process and how to get and stay involved. Updates on the process can be found at knoxplanning.org/plans/one-year-plan.
