1. Moody Avenue/Chapman Highway

  • Study alternatives for extending Moody Avenue from Chapman Highway to Maryville Pike. Reassign right lane for right-turn-only, middle lane for westbound and left-turn, and left lane for left-turn-only at Moody Avenue westbound/Chapman Highway intersection.

2. Henley Street Bridge

  • Widen bridge to accommodate additional lanes, plus bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

3. Sevier Avenue/Council Place

  • Convert Sevier Avenue between the two intersections of Council Place to a two-way street, including geometric improvements. Convert Council Place to a greenway.

4. Hillwood Drive

  • Improve Hillwood Drive for a better connection from James White Parkway to Island Home Avenue. Add a greenway along Hillwood Drive.

5. Chapman Highway

  • Prepare an Advance Planning Report (APR) to evaluate congestion, operational and safety issues for pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular traffic. Major proposals include adding sidewalks on both sides of Chapman Highway and left-turn lanes or center-turn lanes along the residential segment.

6. Maryville Pike/Sims Road

  • Add turn lanes at Maryville Pike/Sims Road intersection.

7. Maryville Pike/Ogle Road

  • Improve intersection

8. Cherokee Trail/Edington Road

  • Improve Cherokee Trail/Edington Road from Alcoa Highway to Maryville Pike

9. Blount Avenue

  • Replace one-lane underpass with two-lane underpass under Northfolk Southern Railroad on Blount Avenue.

10. Fort Dickerson Road

  • Realign Fort Dickerson Road to align with Woodlawn Pike.

11. Magazine Road

  • Improve road segments on Magazine Road.

12. James White Parkway (Project is currently on hold and may not be built.)

  • Extend James White Parkway to Chapman Highway (see James White Parkway extension alternatives).
