Knox Heritage Purchases 1300 Kenyon
|
Knox Heritage, Inc., Knox County's citizen-based preservation organization, has announced the purchase of 1300 Kenyon in the Old North Knoxville Historic District. Through its Vintage Homes program, Knox Heritage will market this home to new owners, and assist them in its preservation-based rehabilitation. In the three years since it was established, Knox Heritage has purchased and rehabilitated four homes, all of which were vacant, condemned and in disrepair. All of these homes are now in single family occupancy, returning derelict properties to the city's tax base and providing new homeowners with a chance to participate in the revitalization of inner-city historic neighborhoods. For more information on the program, contact Knox Heritage at 523-8008.
